To better help you monitor the recent performance of your content, we’re launching the ’24 hours’
view to the SC performance reports and improving the freshness of the data. We’re rolling out
these changes to all properties gradually over the next few months, so you might not see changes
right away.
The ’24 hours’ view
The new view includes data from the last available 24 hours and will appear with a delay of only a
few hours. This view can help you find information more easily, for example:
- How your pages and queries are performing in this recent timeframe
- The performance of content you recently published
- What search queries are driving users to your content in the last 24 hours
Just like the other performance report views, in the new view you will be able to see the number
of clicks, impressions, average CTR, average position, and break it down by the different
dimensions (for example, by query, page, country, etc).
The ’24 hours’ view includes hourly granularity in an overtime graph, which is available in all 3
performance reports: Search results, Discover, and Google News. To show you data as soon as
possible, Search Console will show data points as soon as we have any data on them, even if we
haven’t completed collecting all the data for these points. We will indicate this in the UI using
a dotted line.
The data in this view is displayed in your local time zone and shows the last 24 hours, no matter
where you are. Search Console uses your browser’s settings to show the data in your time zone; the
underlying data is always the same.
To try it out, open your performance report
and click the 24 hours view.
Improved data freshness
This year, Search Console has been working on improving the data freshness of performance data,
and this launch is a big part of that. Overall, we’ve decreased the average data delay by almost
half.
We hope that this new view and improved data freshness will help you better monitor your recently
published content in a better and clearer way and help you take action in a timely manner, if
applicable. We would love to hear your thoughts on how this new view works for you and to hear
any suggestions on how to make it even better. If you have any feedback, questions, or comments,
you can find us on LinkedIn
or post in the Google Search Central Community.
