6 Digital Marketing Conferences We’ve Been To & Love

It’s impossible for anyone to list all the best digital marketing conferences as nobody’s been to them all. But as our team has been to quite a few, we thought we’d keep things simple and share the ones we loved.

Here they are, starting with those with confirmed dates for 2025.

Next event: April 10-11, 2025
Location: Brighton, UK
Prices: £275 (+VAT)

BrightonSEO is a search marketing conference held twice a year (April and October) in the coastal resort of Brighton, UK. It’s probably the largest and most famous SEO conference there is, with thousands of marketers attending every year.

I’ve attended 5 or 6 times now (at least) and have even spoken a couple of times.

Here’s me presenting Ahrefs use cases in 2024:

And here’s me on the main stage explaining how most people see SEO:

I said something useful really, promise!

It’s a super lively conference with a great atmosphere, tons of free swag, and networking opportunities galore.

We’re also regular sponsors of the conference, so it’s a great one to visit if you’re wanting to meet the team and grab an infamous Ahrefs “tshirt,” SEO for beginners book, or even our children’s book:

Sidenote.

If you can’t afford the ticket price but would still love to attend, try entering a free ticket ballot. These take place periodically and apparently, around 20% of the people who join the ballot get a free ticket so your odds are pretty good.

Next event: September 3-5, 2025
Location: San Francisco, California, US
Price: $899.25

Inbound is a three-day digital marketing conference by Hubspot that’s “dedicated to the latest trends and tactics in marketing, sales, and AI.” It’s a huge conference with 11K attendees and over 200 speakers over three days.

Here’s a quick recap of the 2024 event:

My colleague Ryan (Law) attended a few years ago. You can see the size of it here in one of his arty snaps:

The conference also tends to attract some pretty high-profile speakers. Dharmesh Shah (Hubspot), Eric Siu (Single Grain), Linda Tong (Webflow), Neil Patel, Shannon Duffy (Asana), and even Ryan Reynolds (yes, the Ryan Reynolds) have spoken in the past.

If you want to get a quick feel for the event, check out their YouTube channel where you can view some of the talks for free.

Next event: September 11, 2025
Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands
Prices: 349 Euros +

Digital Olympus is a conference aimed at helping attendees improve their organic search traffic. It started as a small event of around 150 attendees in Wroclaw Poland in 2019, which I was lucky enough not only to attend but also speak at.

It was a great conference back then, buy it looks to have evolved into something even bigger and better judging by photos from 2024s event:

Given that tickets start at a very reasonable 349€ and 2025’s event promises more insights from great speakers like Kevin Indig, Aleyda Solis, and Crystal Carter, I’d say it’s well worth attending if you care about getting more organic search traffic.

Next event: TBD (probably November 2025)
Location: TBD (prev. Singapore in 2024)
Prices: ~$650 est.

Held at the stunning Pan Pacific Orchard (recently crowned the world’s best new skyscraper), 2024 marked the inaugural Ahrefs Evolve conference in Singapore, welcoming over 500 attendees from 50+ countries.

On the roster were plenty of big names in SEO and marketing, including Cyrus Shepard (Zyppy SEO), Aleyda Solis (Orainti), Bernard Huang (Clearscope), Nik Ranger (Dejan Marketing), and Jason Hennessey Hennessey Digital)… and their slides never looked better than on our mammoth screen:

We also held pre-event workshops by industry experts and Ahrefs specialists.

The jury’s out on where Evolve will be held in 2025, but the US and UK are serious contenders. (Want updates? Subscribe here).

Next event: 2025 (date TBA)
Location: Nottingham, UK
Price: ~£75 est.

I live in Nottingham and was lucky enough to get invited to speak at this event in 2023:

My talk was about SEO (as that’s what I know best), but the event covers everything from SEO to PPC to content marketing and social media. It’s also surprisingly large with over 600 attendees, four tracks, and 20-minute clinics where you can get one-to-one advice from an expert.

Maybe it’s because it’s up t’north(?), but this conference has a super relaxed and friendly vibe. There were some great food trucks at the one I attended (Nottingham has an underrated food scene IMO), and the folks from Hallam were super friendly.

Even better, it’s a not-for-profit event with all of the proceeds going directly to local charity, Rainbows Hospice. In 2024, the conference raised over £15K.

Next event: 2025 (TBD, but likely October)
Location: Las Vegas, United States
Prices: TBD

Founded in 2001, Pubcon started as an informal gathering of SEOs in a London pub (this is why it’s called PubCon). These days it’s something much bigger yet still pretty low-key compared to the likes of BrightonSEO, with 300-400 attendees attending the last conference in October 2024.

Over the years there have been hundreds of speakers including our very own Patrick Stox. Last year’s event was dominated by AI talks, covering things like:

  • Leveraging AI for content creation
  • Optimizing for AI-powered search
  • Understanding AI’s role in ranking

Las Vegas seems to be the most popular location for the conference having been held there over a dozen times. That said, there have also been PubCons in Florida, Boston, Austin, and even London.
